Sententiae

Durandus of Saint-Pourçain

c. 1275–1334 · dissenting · Dominican, bishop of Meaux; the Doctor modernus, who would not follow Thomas

He is the reason this edition's benches are schools and not orders, stated from the other side: a Dominican on the dissenting bench, as Auriol is a Franciscan there. ⛔ He is also the hardest man on the Phase 8 list to reach. Capreolus never names him in d.17, and no scan of the Venice 1571 print of his commentary has been found on archive.org under any spelling; the only route to him this project has is Denys the Carthusian, who quotes him at length in order to weigh him. His note is marked reported for that reason.
